You can just see him being a near Max Fischer protagonist with a sort of gleam in his eye and too many grand ideas. The sequence in which they release the thousands of blue balloons over Paris, you know you can see that Wes Anderson style. You can. It seems impossible to unsee, now that I’ve thought of it. Large take of the balloons with some sort excellent song just at its climax and then quick zoom to Yves, smiling, proud, as much filled with wonder as any bystander.
Painting with live models, fire painting, monotone symphony, absurd parties, artist friends, leaping into the void. It would be brilliant. It needs to be done.
Just think of that soundtrack. French music contemporary to his life. Ooof.
I can see it! This sounds really good…I’ve never been so excited for a movie that doesn’t exist. You need to make this happen somehow!
